Innovative wood fibre insulation-system

UdiDÄMMSYSTEME is a pioneer in wood fibre insulation. The first plasterable wood fibre insulation board and the first building-authority-approved and tested ETICS (External Thermal Insulation Composite System) made from wood fibre were developed by UdiDÄMMSYSTEME. As early as 1999, Udi (Unger-Diffutherm) was recommended by ÖKOTEST as the best insulation system.

Above all, a building should be comfortable all year round; in other words, in winter the heat must stay inside the house, and in summer it must stay outside. Ideal insulation should improve the indoor climate by regulating humidity and under no circumstances worsen it; this is, in fact, the best protection against mould in the home. Optimal sound insulation is also often on the wish list for modern insulation. There are only a few insulation materials that meet all these requirements, and wood fibre insulation is one of them. Natural wood fibre insulation also makes an important contribution to climate protection, and not just through energy savings. The production of conventional insulation materials (such as mineral wool) consumes around 10 times as much energy as that of sustainable wood fibre insulation boards.

There is a rising trend towards natural, healthy-living and, at the same time, energy-efficient insulation systems. This market segment is led by wood fibre insulation, a completely natural, breathable insulating material. Wood fibre insulation systems are characterised by outstanding energy efficiency, sustainability and cost-effectiveness. They also ensure an unrivalled indoor climate, particularly through their effective moisture regulation, protection against mould and sound insulation.

Natural wood fibre boards are also becoming increasingly popular in interior fit-outs. They ensure a healthy living environment and a comfortable indoor climate. And they are easy and practical to work with. The environmentally friendly, patented solutions for this are UdiIN 2CM® – the thinnest internal wall insulation system at just 2 cm thick – and UdiIN RECO®, an internal wall insulation system with integrated substrate levelling. There is also a metal-free, multifunctional finishing board from Unger called UdiCLIMATE®. Saving energy whilst ensuring optimum living quality and, at the same time, making an important contribution to climate protection – these are the key benefits of the innovative insulation solutions from UdiDÄMMSYSTEME.

Innovation is a tradition

In an economic sense we can only talk of innovation when a new product or production process has been introduced or adapted and its utility has been recognised. It is often the case that that the utility or value of an innovation is only discovered after a long initial phase. We want you to be able to find our products quickly and thereby immediately enjoy the benefits for both your residential/commercial buildings and your quality of life.

Our newest product innovations are UdiRECO, UdiIN RECO, UdiCLIMATE, UdiIN 2CM.

The latest scientific findings, our long years of experience in the building sector and continuous contact with tradesmen provide us with valuable information for the development of innovative insulation systems and for the optimisation of our existing products. Our close and daily involvement with the construction industry has enabled us to develop high quality, healthy building products which are easy to work and install.

Our aim is that all those who use our products – specialist tradesmen, architects and, above all, the property developers – are satisfied. We work continuously on the development of new product ideas and system innovations in order to improve the living-quality of your accommodation while making careful use of our environment’s valuable natural resources.
